Recolight - Recycling lamps and WEEE regulations
Carbon8Lighting are certified members of Recolight, as a Manufacturer, it is our responsibility for the end-of-life treatment of our products. We are proud to be a member of the UK’s leading lighting compliance scheme, Recolight, which manages this on our behalf.
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations were implemented in 2007 and set about increasing recycling of waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) by reducing the amount of WEEE going to landfill.
The regulations aim to improve the environmental performance of businesses that manufacture, supply, use, recycle and recover EEE in the UK.
BAFE
Carbon8Lighting are a BAFE Emergency Lighting SP203-4 registered company.
BAFE develops schemes, which are sets of competency criteria, that UKAS* Accredited Certification Bodies use to assess companies providing specific fire safety services. Companies can be assessed for their competency providing fire risk assessments, fire alarm services, emergency lighting, portable fire extinguisher maintenance, fixed gaseous extinguishing systems and kitchen suppression/extinguishing systems.
