NEW FACTORY SITE FOR EXPRESS LASERS

Express Lasers had outgrown its existing factory and needed more room to grow their rapidly expanding high tech laser cutting business, so they moved into a new factory site of over 16,500ft2 floor space.

Express Lasers provides a sub-contract laser cutting service utilising state of the art technology and as part of Impress Group, they offer a "one-stop solution" delivering high quality, precision metal laser cut components. The business currently operates a minimum of 156 production hours per week with the option to increase to 24 hours, 7 days a week.

The original factory was installed with 400W Metal Halide high bay fittings, each consuming 440W and with the long hours of use, Express Lasers were paying a substantial amount to run each fitting.

The company chose Stella Maintenance to carry out much of the preparation work in the new factory, including the selection and installation of energy-efficient LED high bay lighting for the factory area of the building. Stella Maintenance is experienced in providing reliable preventative maintenance services for mechanical equipment, ventilation systems and electrical installations. They also provide a range of inspection and testing services, as well as a full range of building service needs for industrial and commercial clients.

Working together with Carbon8Lighting lighting designers, Stella Maintenance was able to provide perfect lighting for the whole factory area, using just 16 ultra-efficient Carbon8Lighting 150W Discus High bay fittings.

As well as performance, reliability was an important factor in the selection of a suitable light fitting and the unique 5 Year Premier Care Warranty offered by Carbon8 stood out from all the competition. Premier care offers customers the assurance that once the fitting is installed there will be no surprise costs throughout the 5-year warranty. In the unlikely event of a Carbon8 fitting becoming faulty a replacement fitting will be sent to site in advance, and once exchanged, Carbon8Lighting will come and collect the faulty fitting. In addition, Carbon8Lighting will provide up to £250+VAT towards the cost of the exchange.

One of the directors at Express Lasers commented "The project, from beginning to end, was delivered very professionally and the final result is to an exceptional standard. All work was properly planned and project managed to a high standard and the quality of the installation work is outstanding. The lighting installation exceeds any of our expectations and we are proud of our new factory premises".

Carbon8Lighting manufactures a range of LED light fittings specifically designed for commercial and industrial applications. The company always aims to lead the market, embracing the latest technology and giving customers the best lighting available.
